Imran Ashraf Career History:
Before 2010 when he took a start from play people only recognize him in minor acting but not know his name. After boarding school, he joined his dad’s business when he didn’t know what should do next. In 2010 he came to Karachi and met with a director Dilawar sahib of drama Wafa Kesi Kahan Ka Ishq who hired me for a scene. He didn’t act well even the project head called to remove his scene. At that time my acting skill is very bad. My Urdu was not good and I repeat the scripts of newscasters and actors. I came back to Islamabad, one day my friend told me about a director who offered him for a negative role and director is frustrated him to come. After 2 to 3 short roles, he stopped for one and a half years then he restarted his career, with playing the role of a mawali. His most struggled years are from 2011 and continued true up till 2017. During his struggle time, he participates in many dramas.
After playing four nonstop negative roles he became a standard villain. People around him asked the same question ‘why are you always a villain’? This question irritates him then he decided will not do any negative character. After the rejection of negative roles, there was no work available for him. “Finally, he went on air in 2018 with Iqra Aziz in the lead and the viewers loved it” that is Ranjha Ranjha Kardi written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Kashif Nisar on HUM TV. According to him, it is the most difficult role of a person who is mentally no older than a seven-year-old. He earned high fame by acting as a Bhola. His most famous dialogue of this drama serial “MAZZY MAZZY” and this dialogue of Imran is on the tongue of every Pakistani. Even he had no idea he would get this sort of love and appreciation,” from acting as a Bholla.
Imran is not interested in acting in films as he thinks he is not ready for films yet. He doesn’t compare himself with other actors but does his own acting. He claims that he saw only 17 movies in his life. According to him, his aim is to establish himself as Imran Ashraf, is an association of his own.
His statement is “Imran Ashraf will write his own destiny.”
